Hey there and hi there Bobba peeps!
I've got two great new spaces to spotlight for you before as we hit the weekend. Check these out!

I found this happening little hotspot while space surfing Friday night and let me tell you, the place was packed! Don't judge a book by the cover when it comes to 1inamill's Space by 1inamill. This is the go-to room for great conversation.

Castle types are becoming more and more prevalent, and here we see a great example with a moat and surrounding crenelated walls. AngkorWatTemple by KingJayavrmaVII is a unique opportunity to to explore this style of design and pick up a few pointers.
That's all she sung for this week, friends. Keep sending in those submissions!
See you in Bobba!

Hey Bobba folks!
This is your development team checking in for a quick update. We've ironed out a number of glitches and hope that your Bobba experience continues to be fun. Here we go:
- fixed a bug that caused a crash on S60 clients when picking a colour in the avatar editor
- fixed a bug that caused a crash when reporting another user
- S60 5th edition drag support now feels similar to web browser's behaviour
- made sure some head choices for female avatars didn't look too male
- got rid of occasional white halo around avatars
Enjoy!

Hey there friends!
Got a great new edition of everyone's favorite Spaces Spotlight for you today! We've just been getting so many awesome submissions lately it has been getting more and more difficult to decide which ones to showcase to the world. That's not only a great testament to Bobba, but also to the super-creative imagination and building skill that our users have. Kudos all around, especially to the owner of these three superb spaces.

Taman-Impian by Eunieke has all the architectural grace of a "downtown" style set of buildings, with high walls and broad walking areas. The center spot is a great area for meetings of importance and despite the looks, there's lots of comfortable seating to be had.

Kredock Park by Kredock is one of the few park spaces we've seen that has a vertical climb to its central focus. In this case, a monumental sculpture forms center stage of this relaxing park, and stretches far into the sky.

Bobba Idol by Weels hardly needs an introduction. You can hop up on stage and try your Bobba-best to belt out your favorite tunes, but beware the watchful eyes of the judges, who can with a "Yes" or a "No" send you home packing or make you into a star. Bobba Idol features a stage, stadium-style seating and even a green room for contestants to prepare.
Great spaces all around! You keep them coming and we'll keep spotlighting them!
I'll see you in Bobba!

Hey there peeps!
It's that time again for our second weekly dose of the Spaces Spotlight, and this round we've got some amazing spaces you've sent in to show you. As you make your way today into the weekend, check out some of these awesome examples of what you can do with Bobba-

Sothera's Stadium by Sotheara is a space with one of the coolest uses of elevated tiles I've seen. The goal posts are brilliant thinking by the designer, and the stadium even features a jumbo-tron. Stop by this nifty space and see if you can score a goal!

Ketlyn Plaza by Ketlyn is another fine example of vertical construction methods that give the illusion of a space looking taller than it actually is. Check out the smart use of ceiling as walls in the topmost room. Very trendy.

Mini Friday IC3 by 0TAKmiring is an awesome room built in the shape of an avatar from Mini Friday. Pixel-power is alive and well in Bobba!

I know 3 is the magic number for Spotlight rooms, but I couldn't pass this one up without showing you. Black Scorpion by G-bot is a faithful representation of a creepy arachnid of the same name. It looks ready to sting, so watch out if you visit this hotspot!
As always, keep sending in those creative spaces! If you think your space has what it takes to be featured in the Spaces Spotlight, send me (greypawn) an instant message with your space name in Bobba and I'll stop by and have a look at it. That's all from me for this entry - have a great weekend!
And I'll see you in Bobba!

Hey there, friends!
We're back this week with an all new Spaces Spotlight! Last week, we went and showcased all the awesome entries from our Maze-Making Mayhem event, and goodness, you guys have been busy building! So take a trip with me through these latest and greatest spaces and see if they don't inspire you to build the next best hotspot!

Here we have "Chie Family's Space" by Mr. Chie. Note the symmetry between the sitting room and the club portion. A grassy stream serves as the centerpoint for this interesting space.

"Scret Garden" by Gemini has a magnificent waterfall as its signature piece, topped with two flamingos. A sitting area in the garden attachment is railed off for privacy, and of course Gemini makes his name known through block art. An odd layout, but a unique room nevertheless!

Here's one that made our Spaces Spotlight list and even took home a prize from the contest! "AsaL-jadi" by Unyiel is one of the coolest rooms to date, with a magnificent seating area with three towers of light. Earlier builds by this same user employ vertical sight illusions, and the same is present here as well.
Kudos to those who made it to Spaces Spotlight this time around! If you've got a great space you'd like to show off, send me (GreyPawn) a message in Bobba with your roomname and I'll check it out and see if it makes the grade.
See you in Bobba!

Hey there folks!
As you know, we've been busy bees making updates and adding new features to Bobba at a steady pace. Due to a small mix-up with one of these latest updates, a few users now have the unsigned version of Bobba on their phone. This may cause problems with connecting or receiving future updates, but not to worry, the fix is super-simple!
First off, to tell whether or not you are one of the (un)lucky handful that got the unsigned version, check out this blog from June 10th on the difference between the icons. If you've got the "b" icon without the "blue", your version is unsigned! (cue scary music). The fix is really easy though, so don't fret. All you have to do is manually uninstall the old version, download the new version from the official website at Bobba.com and install. Short, sweet, and simple. If you've got a "b" with the "blue", you are good to go and this mix-up didn't affect you.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and I'll see you in Bobba!

Hey there friends,
As you may have noticed, a new feature called "Report Abuse" went live in a Bobba update yesterday. This feature is something we've added to allow you to report any violation of The Big Three Rules that you might stumble upon during your travels in Bobba. The purpose of this is to improve safety and moderation within the service, so please only use this function to report actual violations of the rules.
Users who misuse the "Report Abuse" feature will be temporarily banned from the service for 24 hours, and then 3 days, and then permanently if they continue to misuse the function. Remember the story of the boy who cried "Wolf!", and make sure you only use the Report Abuse function when you are sure one of The Big Three Rules is being violated. Please do not use the Report Abuse feature to tell us about bad language or someone who is simply being rude or slightly insulting - if you don't like what you hear, use the Ignore function. Report Abuse is reserved for the worst of instances, where someone is griefing you or causing considerable malice to you or other users, or worse.
Here's a few examples of when it is and isn't appropriate to use "Report Abuse".
DON'T use Report Abuse when:
- Someone is insulting you.
- A user has said something you don't like or agree with.
- You want to say hi to GreyPawn or other devs. (send me a private message instead!)
- You run into a technical issue or encounter a bug.
- A user doesn't do something you want them to do.
DO use Report Abuse when:
- Someone is making racist, homophobic, sexist, comments.
- A user is posting links or otherwise trying to share illegal music or software.
- If you see someone exploiting a bug.
- A user is spamming.
Keep these simple things in mind when it comes to Reporting Abuse and Bobba will continue to have one of the safest social spaces to build and chat in. Thanks for your attention!
See you in Bobba!

Not only is there a Bobbatastic update today improving on a whole laundry list of things, but Featured Spaces have been added! Permanent, custom spaces built by our own devs that you can relax and chill at, prominently figured under "Featured Spaces" in your Hot Spaces list!
Have yourself your own "Mini Friday" at the Mini Friday Bar, a great little venue that many of our users are sure to find reminiscent of Bobba's predecessor, Mini Friday. Grab some drinks, break out your best moves on the dance floor and boogie down like the end of the week has arrived early.
You may also notice the Bobba Operator's Room (in English) floating about here and there in Featured Spaces. If there are customer support issues or incidents that need to be resolved in-game, this is likely where it will happen. If you are feeling particularly helpful, feel free to hang out in my chair and offer advice to passerby - they'll appreciate it!
